[사건의내막 / 문홍철 기자] = 산업통상부는 9일(현지시간) 이재명 대통령의 몽골 국빈방문 계기로양국 정상 임석 하에 몽골 식량농업경공업부와 '유통물류 협력 MOU'를 체결했다고 밝혔다.
몽골은 한국 상품에 대한 선호도가 높아 우리 편의점 등 다수의 유통사가 진출해 있지만 상품 개발과 신사업 진출 등 현지화 문제, 인증규제, 물류망 부족 등의 애로가 여전히 존재했으나, 이번 MOU 체결로 개별 기업이 해소하기 어려운 과제를 정부 간 공식 협의체를 통해 일괄 협의할 수 있는 여건이 조성됐다.
이번 MOU에는 양국 간 유통물류 협력을 논의하기 위한 국장급 정례협의체인 '유통물류 정책회의'를 신설하고, 이를 통해 상품 공동개발, 유통물류 인프라 구축, 인력 교류 등 양국 간 공동 협력 사업의 발굴과 인증⋅통관 등 현지 진출기업 지원방안 논의 등을 추진하는 내용이 포함됐다.
산업부는 향후 몽골의 원·식자재와 제조공장 등 현지자원을 활용한 상품 개발과 공급으로 협력을 심화하고, 물류·통관으로 대표되는 현지 진출 우리 기업의 애로 해소를 위해 물류 인프라 개선 및 정부 간 협의를 강화해 나갈 계획이다.
또한 몽골 현지 유통 서비스의 전문성 제고를 목적으로 인력 교류를 통해 유통 노하우를 제공하는 등 양국 간 유통물류 협력을 다각화해 나갈 예정이다.
아울러 이번 몽골 국빈방문 계기 산업통상부와 대한상공회의소, 대한무역투자진흥공사(코트라)는 9일울란바타르 호텔에서 '한-몽골 비즈니스 포럼' 행사를 개최했다.
이번 비즈니스 포럼에서도핵심광물⋅에너지, 소비재⋅유통, 디지털⋅AI 등 다양한 분야에서 총 21건의 MOU가 체결됐다.
한국지질자원연구원은 몽골국립지질조사소와 광물⋅에너지 분야 공동연구팀을 구성하고 양국 전문가 상호 교류를 확대하는 내용의 협력 MOU를 체결하는 한편, 광물석유청과의 지질과학협력 MOU를 통해 핵심광물 탐사·추출·가공 기술 및 첨단 분석·가공기술 개발 협력을 추진하기로 했다.
국내 식품기업 남양유업은 몽골 막시무스 유통과 몽골 시장 내 K-푸드 유통 확대를 위한 MOU를 체결하고, 향후 3년간 약 100억 원 규모의 대 몽골 수출에 협력하기로 했다.
카카오뱅크는 몽골 대기업 MCS 그룹의 지주회사인 MCS 홀딩스와 몽골의 디지털 은행인 'M뱅크'에 대한 지분투자 협력을 위한 계약을 체결했다.
아울러한화투자증권은 징기스칸 국부펀드와 몽골의 광물자원과 인프라 사업에 대한 투자 협력방안을 논의하기 위한 MOU를 체결했다.
한편, 비즈니스 포럼의 부대행사로 '한-몽골 비즈니스 포럼 수출상담회'도 울란바타르 호텔 2층에서 개최됐다.
상담회 결과 총 130건의 수출 상담을 통해 약 700만 달러 규모의 계약과 MOU가 체결됐다.
김정관 장관은 "오늘 체결한 유통물류 협력 MOU와 비즈니스 포럼에서 논의된 다양한 협력 성과를 바탕으로 한-몽 경제협력을 더욱 발전시켜 나가겠다"고 강조했으며, "정부는 유통⋅소비재 분야 협력과 핵심광물 공급망 등을 중심으로 양국 기업들이 새로운 사업 기회를 발굴하고 실질적인 성과를 창출할 수 있도록 적극 뒷받침하겠다"고 밝혔다.
