[사건의내막 / 문홍철 기자] = 이재명 대통령은 29일(현지시간) 저녁 칠레 산티아고에서 열린 동포 간담회를 시작으로 1박 2일 간의 칠레 공식방문 일정에 들어갔다고 30일 강유정 수석대변인이 서면 브리핑을 통해 밝혔다.
대한민국 대통령으로서는 11년만의 이번 칠레 방문을 통해, 이 대통령은 대한민국 최초의 자유무역협정(FTA) 파트너였던 칠레와의 관계를 한 단계 도약시킬 것으로 기대된다.
이번 간담회에는 재칠레한인회를 비롯해 한인노인회, 한인외식업협의회 등 주요 동포단체 관계자와 민주평화통일자문회의 자문위원, 종교·문화·교육계 인사 등 한인사회 각계각층의 구성원 100명이 참석했다.
